Product Overview
A Butterfly Valve is a quarter-turn rotary valve used to regulate, isolate, or control the flow of liquids, gases, and slurries in piping systems. The valve consists of a circular disc mounted on a rotating shaft; when the handle or actuator is turned 90 degrees, the disc rotates to either allow or block flow. Butterfly valves are lightweight, compact, cost-effective, and provide quick operation, making them widely used in water treatment plants, HVAC systems, chemical processing, oil and gas facilities, and industrial pipelines. They are available in wafer, lug, and flanged designs and can be operated manually, pneumatically, electrically, or hydraulically.
Product Specifications
The Butterfly Valve shall be designed and manufactured for reliable isolation and flow control service in water, air, gas, oil, and other compatible fluid applications. The valve shall be of wafer, lug, or flanged type construction with a concentric, double-offset, or triple-offset disc design as specified. Sizes shall typically range from DN50 to DN1200 (2" to 48") and pressure ratings from PN10/PN16 to ANSI Class 150/300. The valve body may be manufactured from Cast Iron, Ductile Iron, Carbon Steel, Stainless Steel, or other approved materials, with disc and stem materials selected to suit the service conditions. Resilient or metal-seated configurations shall be available to accommodate operating temperatures ranging from -20°C to 550°C, depending on the seat material. The valve shall provide bubble-tight shutoff where required and may be operated manually, pneumatically, electrically, or hydraulically. Design, testing, and inspection shall comply with applicable standards such as API 609, ASME B16.34, ASME B16.5, and ISO 5211.
